Misty Hike to St Cite Bay

Last month, we journeyed with the University Health and Fitness Society on one of Trinidad’s more difficult hikes; the hike to St Cite Bay, sometimes called Saut d’Eau Bay since it’s directly opposite Saut d’Eau Island.

After spending some time relaxing on the beach and taking pictures of and with the famous statue of St Peter, it was time to make the gruelling journey back uphill.

Luckily, some clouds rolled in over the Atlantic shrouding the forest in a mysterious mist that turned the usually humid jungle into a cool paradise.

The only downside of the mist was that it blocked the usual, spectacular view of the island that we got from the mountain top last time we were here.
