Lavway: the “I” in Soca

The UWI Afrikan Society presented their carnival production Lavway: the “I” in Soca, a story that chronicled the life and transformation of Ras Shorty I, formally known as Garfield Blackman, the creator of soca.
Multiple artfroms were used including spoken word, theatre, singing, West African and Caribbean Folk dancing and drumming.
