The University of the West Indies Social Sciences faculty week spanned from the 7th to the 11th of November and included a wide range of activities from clubs displays, games, lectures, and an open air spa.
Easily one of the best Guild events for the semester, the events were clearly visible and were well balanced between intellectually stimulating and stress-relieving.
The continuity of G.A.T.E. was discussed in a lecture and a law moot competition was held. The open air spa offered students a well-deserved breather from the hustle and bustle of University life and the fun day on the Thursday featured fare like free gyros and ice cream as well as games and music.
It’s very rarely that a Guild event could have universal appeal among a wide strata of students and have everything so accessible to the student body.
